Noordwijk
The Coatings Science International Conference will be held at the Alexander Hotel in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
The versatile North Seaside resort of Noordwijk is located at less than 30 minutes distance from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam and The Hague. It is situated directly at the coast with a 13 kilometre long beach. Bordered by large forests, rough dunes and at the heart of the tulip bulb growing area near the Keukenhof, Noordwijk is also called the flower seaside resort of Europe.
Situated at one of the cleanest and widest beaches along the Dutch coast in Noordwijk, the 4 star Alexander Hotel has an unique and beautiful location, a few steps from the North Sea boulevard, the beach and the charming, friendly village center, with a refined shopping arcade and renowned entertainment center.

The hotel was built in 1987 by Mr. and Mrs. Balk who named it after their son, Alexander.” … “ The hotel has since been augmented with its own trendy beach club and, following an extensive renovation in 2016, now additionally boasts the popular DYLANS. This restaurant, bar and lounge was named after the couple’s son Dylan, in keeping with the family tradition.”
During the conference we will use the following facilities:
- Montecarlo/Barcelona/Capri (conference lectures – Monday-Thursday)
- Lynn’s Lounge (registration desk, poster session & meet-the-speakers)
- Lynn’s Lounge (welcome coffee Monday & coffee/tea breaks Monday-Thursday)
- DYLANS restaurant (lunch from Tuesday-Thursday, dinner on Monday & Tuesday)
- Alexander Beach Club (dinner-BBQ on Wednesday)
For the conference hotel rooms at the Alexander Hotel can be booked at special rates (recommended but not obligatory) until April 1st, 2024. Only a limited number of rooms (57) is available, so make sure to book your hotel room in time.

You will be asked to insert your name, telephone number, nr. of rooms and nr. of persons per rooms, check in and check out date. You will receive a confirmation after you have signed up.

- For each reservation a valid credit card is required as guarantee. Each individual guest is responsible for their own payment of the room, taxes and all extra’s charged to the room during their stay.
- Up to 7 days prior to arrival day a reservation can be cancelled free of charge. After this date a full cancellation fee applies for the entire stay.
- The Alexander Hotel has its own car park and garage. The cost for a parking space on our property is € 15,00 per car per night. It is not necessary to reserve.
